October 6 – A Assortment of Prayers

Brightness of everlasting glory, consolation of the pilgrim soul, with you my tongue is speechless, and my silence speaks to you. Come! Come! for with out you I can don’t have any joyful day or hour. You might be my pleasure, and with out you my desk is empty. Reward and glory be to you. Let my mouth, my soul, and all creatures collectively reward and bless you. Amen.

Thomas à Kempis (c. 1380-1471), revised from Prayers Historic and Trendy.

You’re the everlasting safety and salvation of our souls. Arm us with the helmet of hope and the protect of your invincible protection. Assist us in all hardships and wishes, and fill us and all who love you with pleasure and gladness; by way of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Sarum Breviary, A.D. 1085, revised from Prayers Historic and Trendy.

Prayers Historic Made Trendy (annotated) is on the market in print and on Amazon Kindle by way of Amazon.com.
