“Even darkness will not be darkish to You; Darkness is like Gentle to You.” – Psalm 139:12
Within the shadow of night time, the place darkness appears to reign,
There lies a fact huge and tender, of pleasure amidst the ache.
This world casts its shadows, and hope appears out of sight,
But, within the huge expanse, God sees the darkness as if its mild.
–
When my path is misplaced in gloom, and worry grips each breath,
God’s love, a beacon regular, guides by means of darkness to life,
In time when sorrow’s heavy, and my coronary heart feels worn and outdated,
His goodness whispers softly, “Be nonetheless, for you aren’t alone.”
–
Via valleys darkish, the place echoes of despair resound,
He sends Gentle to information me, His peace, a steadfast crown.
For each tear I shed and second of painful, silent cry,
Grace flows to me like a river, b’neath the darkening sky.
–
After I stumble within the darkness, my steps not sure and weak,
Christ’s voice gently whispers, “My youngster, it’s I you search.”
The Shepherd of my soul, He leads me with employees and rod,
Guiding by tender mercies, lengthy the trail laid out by God.
–
So in my darkest night time, when despair appears to win,
The Savior’s goodness shines a beacon of hope inside.
For in my darkness, Christ’s Gentle doesn’t merely information,
He transforms and renews me, and in His presence I abide.
–
So if my night time appears limitless, and my life feels frail.
I’ll bear in mind God’s goodness is Gentle that can’t fail.
He who sees the darkish as Gentle in each midnight hour,
Will lead me in my darkness by His endless energy.
This poem is devoted to 2 households, Christian Palestinians, that Sen. Lankford’s workplace and I labored to evacuate from Beirut, Lebanon, beneath menace of their deaths. Although it could appear darkish proper now, every time you see the moon, do not forget that the darkish aspect of the moon is as Gentle to Christ, and so too, your darkness is Gentle to Him.
