Flicka Rahn is an internationally identified vocal performer, creator, instructor and revealed composer. She served on the music school at Texas A&M College Corpus Christi for 22 years along with Brandeis College in Boston, and the Boston Conservatory of Music. As an expert soprano she has appeared with the Boston Lyric Opera, Boston Philharmonic, New York Wagner Society, Minnesota Grand Opera, San Antonio Opera and the Sinfonia de Queretaro, Mexico. She has traveled all through Mexico with notable Mexican artists presenting Uniting Nations via Music.
Since 2015, Ms. Rahn has been working towards sound remedy on the Integrative Therapeutic Institute in San Antonio. She is a co-founder of the Transcendence Challenge, co-creator of the Innergy Tuner app and co-author with Tammy McCrary and The Transformational Energy of Sound and Music guide.
In 2012, as a Fulbright Scholar, she traveled to the Universidad Autonoma de Queretaro in Queretaro, Mexico, and taught programs on American artwork songs and American musical theater. She returned to Queretaro in 2015 to provide and direct musical displays on the Proarte Escuela de Danza and the Centro Estudios de Musicales. In 2016, she continued her work in Mexico showing with the Queretaro Symphony of their annual Opera Gala, performing solos and ensembles with Mexican vocal artists.
She continues to have a big studio of classical vocal college students in Queretaro, Mexico. In 2017, she and Mexican tenor, Andres Pichardo (add Andres’ hyperlink) introduced live shows in 4 cities all through Mexico. In 2018, she returned to sing two live shows, “Amigos Para Siempre,” in Mexico Metropolis and Queretaro with tenors, Alberto Angel and Andres Pichardo.”
As a composer, Ms Rahn’s sacred and secular items for vocal soloists, choirs, and opera firms have been carried out at universities, instructional establishments, church buildings, museums, and temples. Her artwork songs are revealed within the sequence Artwork Songs by American Ladies Composers.
In 2017, she and fellow musician, Daniel Wyman, recorded and launched an album of meditation and therapeutic music beneath the identify The Icaros, and launched their debut album Chakra Soundscapes, in 2018. This lovely musical interpretation was impressed by her experiences of the improvised therapeutic songs of the Shipibo shamans from the Amazon jungle in Peru. The Icaros adopted up with the elegantly produced Hymns to Gaia: Honoring the Components in 2019 and Ascension in August of 2021. The Icaros continues to carry out at festivals and occasions within the US, Mexico and the UK.
